As many of you know, it was officially announced on Oct. 23, 2014 that Glorious Organics was a regional winner of the 2014 National Co-op Challenge.
We have been quiet during the winter months, but we have still been hard at work. The winter was a time for us to make plans about how to utilize the funds we received, and how best to make use of our land and our space.
After careful consideration, our plan now, is to renovate our existing barn. The old barn, about 20+ years, is definitely in need or repair. We decided it would be better to save an existing structure, than it would be to tear it down. We will repair the foundations, and work on making the interior comfortable and functional for visiting students and guests – and create a space where we can gather and learn, together.
We will continue to abide to our commitment of using and reusing, recycled and environmentally friendly materials.
Thank you again – we literally could not have won this contest without your diligent and focussed efforts. It was a lot of work, but we did it with a little help from our friends.
Stay in touch!
The daily voting list was shut down last fall, however, if you would like to receive periodic email updates from us, please enter your email address directly below (at the bottom right). We will send occasional messages about our CSA box program, farm events, workshops, and updates about the new education centre.
Thanks. And happy eating.
